Currently running GW 7.03 back end and mixed 6.5/7 clients. Have BES version 4.1.6 running SOAP to the POAs. Decent IBM blades.

Have been experiencing large delays on the client end (switching folders, filters, searches, etc etc) since the summer where some networking changes were done.

Troubleshooting done: An average PO server is running at 5-15% CPU max, IO bandwidth/throughout are within normal spec, memory is not a massive concern. Bandwidth to SAN is not even near threshold levels. Have cleared/deleted/rebuilt quickfinder indexes, run structure every night and contents on weekends etc, tweaking threads etc.

Example post office:

Currently:

C/S Users 154
Application Connections 190
Physical Connections 101
SOAP Sessions 0

C/S Handler Threads 24 0
Message Worker Threads 30 0
GWCheck Worker Threads 6 0
SOAP Threads 13 0

(have tried tweaking threads)

C/S Requests 22740829
C/S Requests Pending 0
Users Timed Out 17772
SOAP Requests 1255147

At the end of my rope as far as what more I can do to root cause this problem. To me the user timed out stats look high but I do not have a stable GW system to compare to currently. So if anyone has some helpful advice I'd appreciate it.

Hello there,

I have been working with GW for 15 years and never seen anything like this.

Client has a SLES 9 OES 1 server that has been running fine for 4 years. All of a sudden, if GW (MTA, POA and GWIA) are running, the server freezes solid, requiring a power down. Kybd, mouse, everything frozen. can't ping or telnet either.

Have gwcheck'd until blue in the face--no longer reports errors. Replaced motherboard and memory. (NIC and Video are on motherboard.) Doubled RAM from 1 GB to 2 GB.

No more errors reported by gwcheck of POA.

Anyone seen anything like this?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE,
Dan

Ok, so I've been at this for most of the day. I have installed Exchange and the GW7Gateway for exchangenumerous times, followed the installation practically to the "T" and I have no shortcut on the start menu. When I have tried to set it up as a service, the service is not there. When I try to launch exgate manually it gives me a "unable to get configuration information from the registry" What gives? Can someone point me to a config doc or installation file that works. I just want to get my groupwise 7.0.2 working with Exchange 2003 and have tried almost every conceivable method with no luck.
