most informative books/sites/forums that would assist in educating me
for this move?

Are there hardware vendors that prep systems and/or bundle Netware
6.5?

Does Netware 6.5 still allow the server to run with only an IPX/SPX
LAN driver?

Thank you!

Save one server from old NDS

Hi!

Following situation! I have an old 4.11 NDS, where first were 5 servers. There are partitions and replicas from servers on other servers. Today there is only one server productive and one master server is running. The 10 year old productive server is working fine so far. The master server (12 years old!) is also still running, but according to hd failures there is no volume available. I will rather not shut it down! All the other servers are crashed!

I donīt need this servers anymore, but there is a special software with a Btrieve-database for only 15 Users on the last productive server. I want to save this environment to newer hardware. I tried to install a clean NW 4 server with this Btrieve database, but it doesnīt work, because I have no original installation disks.
Now Iīve made a clone of this last working server with Acronis and copied it to another machine. Server is running up (in a stand alone network), I can login to NDS, Btrieve application is running fine. Thatīs what I want! So far so good.
But how can I get rid of all the old servers and make this server a master server? I tried NDS manager, but there seems to be no chance to delete replicas and partitions of servers, which are unavailable.
Does anybody know a solution for this (I know) unusual situation? Is there a way to extract the last running server?

Thank you for your suggestions!
