iPrint Manager not running after upgrade to oes2sp2

Hi,

upgrade from oes2sp1 to oes2sp2 x86_64.
After reboot ipsmd does not start.
We removed all printers, added new config for ipsmd and all printers.
After 2 hours ipsmd running same errors occured.

Any experiences with iPrint and oes2sp2?

apache2 could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:631

Hi,

I was wondering if any of you guys have experience this.
I installed SLES 10 SP2 / OES 2 SP 2 and select DSfW.

After the installation, apache2 failed to start.
Encounter error" apache2 could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:631"
There seem to be conflict with iprint services.

If i were to rccups stop and start apache2 it is working again.
I hv tried to disable cups from starting up again but after reboot, cups services started again.

Any idea how to resolve this?

Unable to access printer with Imanager,Psmstatus not working

Here is the situation:
SLES 10 SP2 OES SP1, latest patches installed.
Imanager is not working on this server.
Psmstatus is not working.
If I try to access a printer from another Imanger, I get the error message:
"java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused IPP Error: 0x40001"
Any ideas?

iPrint Cluster run at one cluster only

Hi all.

I have a cluster with Novell Cluster Services running at 2 OES 2 Linux servers.
The iPrint is clustered both nodes, but only at NODE1 the iPrint starts. When I try to migrate iPrint cluster resouce form NODE1 to NODE2 the volume mounts but the iPrint services (Print Manager and DataStore) can't start.

Searching for solution I discovered that the files inside directory /etc/opt/novell/iprint/conf/ (inside the clustered volume) cant be read. When I try to read the print manager .ipsmd.conf the error message is about Permission Denied.

How can I correct this?

error during installation of the iPrint client on Windows XP

Hi,

I want to install an iprint printer on a WindowsXP client.

I start IE and input http:///ipp as URL
on the PC.
Now I click on the printer (to be installed) and I
receive the message, that the iPrint client is not
installed. I click "OK" for installation and then
"execute" =>
"nipp.exe" => execute.

Now I receive the following error message:
"iPrint client - the operating system is not supported
by this client".

If I execute the same scenario in Windows 2000,
everything is ok.

- version of iprint on OES2-SP1: 6.1.20090608-0.4.1
- version of iprint on XP: 5.12

Any ideas?
