problem with https

Hi,
after configured http server with yast,have more problem with https.
some problem are resolved with this TID "Apache fails with symbol error after configuring the HTTP Server via YaST"

But https don't work
welcome page via http work fine, via https do not work (unable to connect)
Groupwise webaccess via http work fine, via https do not work (unable to connect)
Unable to connect on iManager (big problem)
iMonitor work fine
Remote Manager work fine

SORRY FOR MY POOR ENGLISH

NetStorage some Users can't login

Hi together,

i've done a upgrade from oes1 to oes2 (64bit) and after that some users can't login to NetStorage. Can't find any error. All services are running...some users works fine. But other users with same attributes (also same context) can't login. They always get the auth. window.

Any Ideas? I've searched throug the logs but doesn't find something useful.

QuickFinder crashes tomcat5 on certain PDFs

Indexes most PDFs ok, but when it gets to one created by Acrobat PDFMaker 8.0 for Word it logs:

Customer Profile Business.pdf - (78 KB) Skipping - Contents of file indicate file should not be indexed.
...but scanning for links

and tomcat 5 crashes. zipped javacore attached.

Versions:

yast2-novell-quickfinder-2.13.3-35

CONCLUSION: System is up-to-date!
found SLE-10-x86_64-SP2 + "online updates"

An old TID (2973618) talked about updated files to handle the PDF abend but that predates the versions installed here.

Sounds like a new version of something is needed here to handle this format/version of PDF, but not yet finding it out there.

Any help appreciated!

Tomcat begin event threw exception

G'day

This is a freshly built SLES10sp3 OES2sp1 server.

Everything works except for iManager/novell-tomcat5

In the catalina.out each time I try to start Tomcat I get

ERROR org.apache.commons.digester.Digester - Begin event threw exception
etc......

I've only found one other reference to this kind of failure in Tomcat
startup, it was never answered.

I have reinstalled the iManager pattern then installed iManager and I
have also reinstalled novell-web-config Novell-tomcat5 and mod_jk
configuration for OES. No change

I did checksum the new SLES10sp3 media and verified that media during
install, the OES2 Install source where Novell-Tomcat would come from
has been used a few times now and everything works as designed.

What should I do?

Unable to login to NetStorage

No matter which user attempts to login it just gives access denied, problem is I have no idea where to check for errors, I've tried /var/log/message and apache and novell-tomcat logs and found no errors that seemed related. Where do I even begin to work out what is going on?

Something I've just noticed, when trying to change settings for NetStorage in iManager I see the following in the novell-tomcat log

QuickFinder - Unable to initialize Novell client calls

Hello,

I am attempting to setup a file system index to a remote NCP server.

I am using OES2 sp1 Linux and Quicfinder 5.0.1.

NCP Server Name: 99homevs.div99.fishel (have also tried just the cn)
Username: admin.org (no leading dot)

Server path: 99homevol:\home
Corresponding URL prefix: file://///99homevs.xxxxxx.com/99homevs/home

But when it attempts to generate an index, here is what I get in the log:

Error: Unable to initialize Novell client calls. Error code 0xffffffff
Skipping: 99homevol:\home - Unable to open directory

I have NCP loaded on this server, I get the same error if I try a local NCP volume.

Anyone have any ideas?
