Environment -
1). Novell Open Enterprise Server, NetWare 6.5 Support Pack Revision 06 (SP6)
2). Server version – 5.70.06, Oct. 26, 2006
3). Novell eDirectory Version – 8.7.3.9 SMP
4). NDS Version 10553.79 December 18, 2006

We want to take a sample of the production data, back it up to a file, and copy it over to our Virtual server. We have a backup copy of eDir of the production server and copied it over to the test Virtual server.
After the sample data is copied over, we will isolate the Virtual server from the Production server and restore eDir on the Virtual server.

Problem: Since we don't have a tape backup system, how can I direct SBCON to backup to a file? Is there a way to trick SBCON to backing the data to file, and if so, what are the steps? What do I need that will work in eDir 8.7.x.x and Novell NetWare 6.5 SP6?

Thank you.
