Establishing a lab, developed first policy. Policy correctly places home
directory, but never resolves pending event.

the Engine log reports:

11/17/2009 10:00:09 4: E372 Begin SetPolicy:
11/17/2009 10:00:09 3: ALPThread:
The event (300) for object (CN=234149,OU=usr,DC=dev,DC=client,DC=lab) is not
delegated; Incrementing try count.

It retries every 3 seconds, with no results. Any ideas?

Reported disk usage

I am new to NSM, and am not sure if this is a bug or if I am missing something. I have set up a policy and under Storage Management, I see the object is managed by the policy. However, on the NSMAdmin Start page, there are no pie charts showing disk usage. But, when I log into the browser-based Executive dashboard, I see a pie chart showing usage, I see volume statistics, etc. etc. Is there a bug in the NSMAdmin client app?

Virtual Classroom - How do you do it?

Great video! I try to replicate what you are doing, but I am stuck at some minor details.

How do you get the folder rights to assign like that?

If a member/owner is removed, their folder will be renamed to #REMOVED#USERID, can this be cleaned up by NSM?

If this can work, it would be GREAT! :)

Action Objects to set User Quota

Hi!

I am working on a project to assign user quota to users on a shared disk space.

I need to do this with Action Objects that are created by Novell IDM for various resons.

Can this be done? In the Action Objects Reference Manual I can only find an example of how to set Directory Quotas, not Disk Quotas. (I cant even get Disk Quotas to work, it gives me error status: Failed to set directory quota for target path. rc = 0x899C.). But what I really need is Disk Quotas.

Any ideas?

Moving server and upgrading

Hi,

We have a NSM 2.0 environment and are moving to OES2 virtualized on VMware.
The engine currently runs on a NetWare 6.5 server.

My plan is:
Install a new NetWare 6.5 VM and install NSM 2.5 engine on that.
Import all the servers in it.
Upgrade servers.
Remove the old engine server.

Is this possible?
Can a sever have 2 engine servers?
Is this the way to do it, because the docs are "a bit vague..."

Manually Specify User Object in the Take Action Window

Is there a way to specify a user object manually or by searching in the
Take Action - User Mode window? The browse window works, but it takes a
long time with over 100,000 user objects.
