His client began a new archive folder on c:\mydocuments on new pc.

We copied the old archives from old PC to new pc in c:\archives folder and pointed his client to c:\archives vs. c:\mydocuments - it asked if I wanted to move archives....to which I replied yes.

I can open archives in both folders: c:\mydocuments and c:\archives...but I cannot unarchive anything in c:\mydocuments (new folder) - i get message:
c05d - dependent store file does not exist on the disk. I can unarchive from c:\archives - the file copied over from old pc.

I have looked up this error and get numerous suggestions, should I be running a structural rebuild? any advise on this issue would be appreciated.

I have a postermaster account, where i share our default Adressbook. It works fine! But for one user "Boss of course" I cant share it. It gets deleted before in gets too his mailbox?
I have looked to see if he has blocked the postemaster adress, but he has not?????

It turned out that she had moved it to another location without realizing she had done it. That's when I ran into the limitations of the search options in the Windows client. I'm hoping that someone has a better process than what I ended up using to find the misplaced folder.

After looking through the Help facility and searching this Forum I discovered the Search Folder. I was able to create one and determine that the folder still existed by searching for the sender's email domain. The search folder told me that the messages were still there and that the folder was still there but didn't specify where in the cabinet the folder was located. I had to expand every sub-folder and look until I found it. She had hundreds of folders to look through and, of course, the folder in question was almost at the bottom of the tree.

We are upgraded from 7.3 to 8 recently. Thereby we got alot of problems where most are fixed now (thanks to the forums) we still have this one:

I'am making a posted appointment with a bold subject and save it. Then i want to edit the appointment. So when i open it the boldness disappears. If i save the appointment again after putting some text down in the body the subject will be saved as plain text.

I have tested it in 8 SP1 aswell but no luck.

Does anyone know if there is a fix for this, other then re-bolding the text all the time?

I have a user that wasnt to be able to forward mail to and external account with a rule. The catch is they do not want it forwarded as an attachment. I don't see any way to do that. The user stated that this worked find until we upgraded to 8 sp1.

When I first saw GW8 in a class delivered by BrainStorm, I knew this was going to be a problem (it was also a problem in Outlook XP when I worked in that environment).

Does anyone (anyone? at all?) know of a way to disable this option? We've just rolled out GW 8 and are holding our breaths, simply hoping the users don't find this feature. We are on SP1, and it's still buggy.

I've tried deleting 2 registry settings under "Current User" and they keep coming back; also the option still remains even after I delete them. They are under Setup and are EditorIsMSWordHTML and EditorIsMSWordRTF.

These are all the issuse we have been dealing with for the last couple of weeks and there not getting any better.

1. Users are experiancing a lot of slowness
2. GW crashes when opening attachment
3. Mailbox's not refreshing they have to click on another folder and back to the mailbox to get new mail.
5. Not being able to use the delete key when trying to type an email
6. The Tab key not working
7. Not able to copy and paste
8. Clicking on the archive goes to there calender
9. When opening email it minimizes.
10. Some users have had the client reinstalled more than three times seems to correct the issue for a day and then goes back

We have ran GWChecks on every user that is haveing problems. We also go and reinstall the client every time.

However, when I run a busy search, my subscribed calendar doesn't register me as being busy. So does busy search only look at the primary calendar? However, when I reply to an Archived message the new message doesn't include the original message text. I tried highlighting the original message text and then hitting the Reply button but I still get just a blank message.

I got a weird one, here:

Backend is Groupwise 8.0.1 on OES 2 Linux SP1
User is using Mac client 8.0.1 on Mac OS X 10.5.8
User has a Windows Mobile device connected with NotifyLink

Problem:
When the user sends e-mails from her client, they do not appear at all in her Sent Items! I tried sending some test e-mails, and they are all properly received by the recipient, but even if I do a Find in her mailbox, they are nowhere to be found! There are no rules in the account; user is working in Online mode. Her Sent Items folder is not empty; the last item that was sent from her client dates from November 6th. No changes to Groupwise backend was made. I checked the Display Settings on her folder - nothing there.

I tried from the Windows 8.0.1 client - same thing.

However...if she send an e-mail from her mobile device, then that e-mail DOES show up in her Sent Items!

Grrr...can't figure it out!

Any suggestions?
