Default Self Study Course 3089 Hard Disk Requirement

I've got a gripe about Course 3089. I wanted to set up the SLES host environment on a laptop so I can study/train at work or home. The requirements for the host in the instructions for setting up the course say 2GB memory and 20GB space. My work laptop was running windows with 4GB memory and 80GB of space. So I set up a dual boot and split it evenly 40GB for Windows and 40GB for SLES. Well, I followed all the instructions exactly as far as I can tell and I don't know if I did something wrong, can't see how, but the entire 40GB for SLES is used up and I can't continue with the course. I gave it twice the requested space and it wasn't enough. How were the host environment, the DVD and CD iso's they tell you to copy in, plus 3 XEN hosts supposed to fit on 20GB of space? This is a major pain in the A!
