They saw an elongated orange light. It wasn't there to beam Blair up.
Acting instinctively, government classified as much info as they could.
Could be they were being devious and manipulative, just as likely
they are ignorant and confused - maybe both. "Don't get caught."
This approach saves careers, but it destroys government credibility.
