2 GB is a common failure point as it is the limit of a signed integer. As
DVD ISOs (and other large files) have become more common most software has
updated (but not IE until IE8 per
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/298618).
Proxy server and antivirus could still easily be behind the curve,
though. Let us know what you find out if you can.
