windows file sharing

Anyone willing to help me get a stupid folder shared on an xp pro box?
I shared the folder, have simple file sharing off, created user accts
that will 'connect' to this machine, deleted the 'server' user acct
that's the same as on the other pc's, disabled the guest acct.

I was never getting a login dialog until I disabled the guest acct, but
now I get the login, I just cannot login to see this shared folder
using *any* acct on the pc, including the administrator acct.

Suggestions? Aside from fdisk, etc.
