Default Teacher access to student folders

Hi all,

I'm working on a solution that would remove all generic network accounts (IE: student, HSlab, etc...)

One of the stumbling blocks we are running into is how to handle teacher access to class projects when all the students would be saving their work in their home directory.

Another issue is the principal wants to be able to copy files to the seniors home directories to share information with them. I'm trying to figure out a way that wouldn't be a management nightmare. I sure don't want to have to manually set permissions on folders each year and whenever a new student enrolls.

Any suggestions? I'm now thinking that a few shared folders with permissions given to specific Groups would be much easier to manage, but getting the students to use them might be tough.
