How about this combination:

A shutdown screen saver (2 minute chance to escape):
ShutDown Screensaver - Free software downloads and reviews - CNET Download.com

And set this as the logon screen saver:
How to change the Windows Logon screen saver in Windows XP

Thanks,
I have tried that with no success, while changing the novell screensaver at login it will not allow the screensaver to shutdown the computer.

I have tried many things, I am still on the hunt for a free program to shut my workstations down while idle at the login screen. I know the Faronics power save software works but it has to be purchased and with our budget nothing will be purchased.
