Default Sony Vaio's

Anyone playing with the Sony Vaio's out there?

I've been working with Compaq - HP equipment for over 15 years and
it's becoming increasinly difficult to do business with HP anymore and
I'm looking at options.

I just got a lab of 25 Dell's and no thanks there, not an option. I
imaged these systems, and three of them I had to go back and finish
installing dvd drivers which breaks my process of 100% unattended
imaging and freezing. Sure, you can boot them up, log in, and they
finish installing the driver, but someone has to do it, and the
machines are frozen after imaging - automatically. (Dreep Freeze /
Cornerstone...) At least with HP they are all the same.

HP doesn't return phone calls, tech doesn't know their products or how
to trouble shoot problems.....Example. .. I tell them II got a
computer that won't power on. I've checked the power cords, the
system board has a green light, and I've swapped power supplies.
Their response, have you checked to make sure it's plugged in. It's
come to the point where if the parts are under $100 I just buy them
even when they are under warranty cause it just isn;t worth the hassel
anymore....And my server 24x4x7 support contract usually take three
days for someone to show up. Oh how I long for the days of Compaq...

So with the Sony's how consistent is their hardware? How well does it
work with Zenworks? What's warranty and support like?

Any thoughts, please pass them on.
Thanks
