Default SOHO selecting database

As a user, not as a techie...

OpenOffice
Their database is handy for small individual user, however have found it not so easy to use their database, particularly trying for access by other users.

MySQL
started using this as was available to install as an option using YaST for SLED 10 sp2 and felt their sql may be easy enough to understand.
For a while had exception loading data with local dates, however now figured this out, so comment their help information for loading date formats - so basic a need, is not so easy to understand.

PostgreSQL
Came accross mention that PostgreSQL has feature sets for an enterprise level DBMS and could be considered for an open source and commercial database server.

IBM db2
Many fond memories, and hear they making it available for Linux and SOHO users, so may look more at them if not find my way through MySQL.

still looking and thinking...
