Default Verisign certificates

Is there *truly* a difference between Verisign's Secure Site and Secure
Site Pro certificates? I always thought that the Pro ones did some sort
of elven magic to make sure everyone used 128-bit encryption regardless of
the browser, but then I just got a notice in the mail about a class action
lawsuit against them because the two certificates are essentially the same
thing. If they give the same functionality I think I'll renew our current
cert with just a Secure Site one instead of Secure Site Pro and save the
company some bones.
