iSCSI SAN Backup Devices and Software
A newbie here so forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong forum
We are upgrading our servers and storage at the end of this fiscal year. We have decided to go with an iSCSI SAN (from Dell) and would like to know what everyone is using to backup their SAN. The new servers' OS will be OES2 on SLES10. Here are the two questions:
1. What type of devices are you using to backup your iSCSI SAN?
- Tape Library. Brand and model of device? Is it direct attached to a server or on iSCSI network?
2. What software is used to backup your SAN?
- Symantec Netbackup, EMC Networker...
