bulk Password Reset for Restored Post offices
Greetings, I am trying to figure out how I can use either GWCheck or something else to reset all the passwords for all the users in a post office restore point. The reason I am doing this, is that we have had a number of requested for data regarding e-mail and such, and many of these have forced us to keep tapes and restore post offices around, as we only recently implemented an archving solution. Since GWCheck does not always reset a password I sometimes have to bring the restored post office up in a live POA, and then It might work resetting the password so I can get into the account and search the e-mail. We are trying to figure out what tool we can use to reset all the passwords, and then import all the e-mail into the archiving solution so we do not have to do manual searches each time, and to be able to have all the old data search-able in the archiving solution. Sadly the recent implementation of the Archiving solution was due to the migration from GroupWise to Exchange, but that did not involve historical data, nor could it. Has anyone been able to use GWCheck in batch mode to reset users passwords for anyone in a post office, or at least know of another tool that can do this without a complete POA, and Domain running from the date of the restored post office? We do not have all the domain backed up from each of the Post office restores either.
Thank you in advance,
Darol
