changing novell password

Is there a way to change the novell password using the windows api NetUserChangePassword or through IAdsUser?

I am using novell edirectory on Vista + Novell Client Ver 2.

Is there any other way, using any API to change the password for the user? And also to know whether the user's password has expired?
