LDAP error Can't connect to server

Using SUSE Enterprise server 11.1 and windows 2000 client.

I configured the LDAP server on suse 11.1. I can use the browser on the server and get data back. When I try to connect from windows client,
I cannot connect to the server.
I can ping the server and FTP from the windows client.

Could somebodey tell me what to check ?

May be, check the firewall.

I hope you are using clear text. If you use SSL, verify the certificate.
