SSLVPN - win clients connection problems
Our SSLVPN server has very poor client connectivity rates, as in most Windows clients don't successfully connect. On the other hand SLED11 with Firefox 3.5.3 connects 100% of the time.
All AM components are at 3.1.1, and the VPN is a tradition Novell VPN on the access gateway running in Enterprise Mode on 7777tcp. This is not running through a firewall at this point.
Browser Java Connects?
IE6 w/jre 1.6.16 No - blank browser page
IE7 w/jre 1.6.10 Rarely - when it fails blank browser page
FF3.5.3 1.6.16 No - blank browser and Firefox hangs
FF3.5.3 PrivB 1.6.16 Rarely - when it fails blank browser
FF3.0.6 1.6.10 Rarely - when it fails blank browser
"Rarely" means something like after a reboot but it is not consistent behaviour as I can connect, log out of the VPN cleanly, reboot and face a blank browser screen the next time.
So to sum up, reboots help sometimes, FF3.5 Private Browsing works sometimes, but nothing works consistently. Failures and successes are random and non-repeatable.
What can we look into to help troubleshoot this issue?
