apparmor on suse 10.1

I have just updated my suse linux 10.1 with the latest kernel x86_64 and
apparmor has stopped working everytime I enable it and start a process that
is protected that process fails

here is my kernel version

jms:/var/log # uname -a

x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
