MySQL Public Symbol Errors

Installed NSure Audit 1.0.1 on a Netware Server 6.0 SP3 Box..

Our goal is to use the Nsure Audit Report Application to produce reports.
(we plan on using MySQL as the database to do this)

Installing MySQL 4.0 on the same Netware Server 6.0 SP3 Box, according to
TID 10088726...

When we attempt to create the database, we issue the command
mysql_install_db ...

We then get a dozen Public Symbol Errors....similiar to this.... and the
database does not get created.

loader cannot find public symbol - LIBC@PTHREAD_RWLOCK_WRLOCK for module
mysql.nlm
loader cannot find public symbol - LIBC@PTHREAD_RWLOCK_UNLOCK for module
mysql.nlm

I do have a FileChannel setup and it is recording events into a file, but I
need to do queries and produce reports. Am I approaching this correctly in
setting up a MySQL Database??

In order to use the Nsure Audit Report Application , it looks like this is
what I have to do. ??

Any help would be appreciated...
