Questions about NIA and PostgreSQL

I have installed NIA 1.0 on a SuSE 10 Sp 2 OES 2. It seems to work fine until I reboot the server and then I am unable to login. I tried to apply the hot fix but it fails once it tries to apply database fixes saying the password file is invalid. Can someone point me in the right direction?
