FreeRADIUS on 64-bit SLES 10 fails against eDirectory to retrieveUniversal password

To sysops:

Is there any way to check with "Engineering" to determine an update in
status for an issue? It's been more than a few months since this one
has been created.

Freeradius on 64 bit of SLES 10 fails against eDirectory to retrieve
Universal password. Exact same configuration files used on 32 bit
version of SLES 10 works fine. Error returned in the radiusd debug log
file is the following: rlm_ldap: Error reading Universal Password.Return
Code = -1635

Workaround for now is to make use of the 32 bit version of SLES 10
