Busy Bordermanager
I got some problem with my Bordermanger 3.9 sp2. It is on a netware 6.5 sp8. We have more than a 1000 computers and laptops. I would say in peak hours there will be around 900 students using our proxy server.
Our server is a HP /Compaq dl380 G4, 3.2gh. Tree disk scsi 10.000 rmp. Placed in a raid 5.
I have been using Craig and Novell suggestion for tuning.
I can see in monitor that dirty cache buffers can be as high 50.000 and stay there for a couple of minute before it comes down again..
Utilization is between 40% and 50 % normally during the dag
I have changed Maximum hot node from 50.000 to 60.000.
