Ah! I thonk you're facing a big misunderstanding here. You're actually
trying to tell the BM Server to act as a Socks Client that way, you're
not enabling the socks proxy there. Of course that explains why
everything stops working when you enable that.

Again, the "Socks Client" setting in Nwadmin is to make the BM *Server*
try to use Socks for all outgoing traffic, e.g to have the BM Server use
a updstream Socks Proxy for it's own traffic.
