Application that uses simple authentication

Hello,

I'm working with a customer using BorderManager. Can a rule be setup to
allow basic authentication. I'm trying to install an application that
uploads financial documents (via https using wininet) to a secure site.
If the application receives an http 407 error it requests authentication
credentials.

A search of Novell's knowledge base reports the following:

"407 Proxy Authentication Required

Your request is passing through a proxy that is requiring authentication.
Valid authentication information must be provided to proceed. Simply
reloading/refreshing will not correct this. If you have already provided
the authentication information, then your authentication is being refused
by the server.

Since BorderManager's Proxy uses a proprietary method for authenticating
users, this request for authentication has come from some other, upstream
proxy."

Are there any options?
