Upgrade options for edir 32 bit to 64 bit
We are at edir 8.8.3 32 bit with IDM 3.5.1 on SLES10SP2 64-bit. We would
like to get to 64 bit architecture (8.8.5) with minimal downtime. Is there
a path available to do this? So far the options we know of are:
1) rip and replace the server/replicas and install new on same hardware.
(Risky and long downtime)
2) install new server with new name and migrate IDM services. ((don't want
new names of host or edir instance names)
It seems we should have a path the involves just replacing rpm's and perhaps
upgrading the dib's. This would give us the fastest upgrade and keep the
same names. Is this doable?
