Tried to send this to patchfeedback@novell.com but got a bounceback:

The eDirectory 8.8 SP5 FTF1 for NetWare patch contains duplicate files, and
I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be manually picking the newest file or not.
Whatever happened to making Netware patches installable via nwconfig?

Example: emboxmgr.nlm exists in 2 different folders when extracted from the
patch
