Could someone walk me through installing eGuide on OES2?

Forgive me - netware guy floundering around in linux.

I'm trying to follow the coolsolution Adding eGuide from OES1 to OES2 | Novell User Communities
I have a new server, fresh install of SLES10SP2-64 and OES2SP1-64 (is 64 bit OK?), and I copied /var/opt/novell/eGuide from the old server to the new one. I made the rest of the changes listed in the solution, but I get a couple of errors. When I restart Apache I get [warn] Useless use of AllowOverride in line 28. and [warn] Useless use of AllowOverride in line 42. Which file is it refering to? Also, when I try the eGuide url I get a Access Forbidden 403 error, so I must not have permissions set right somewhere.
