2.1.x is virtually unusable

I am currently running Evolution 2.1.5. Since about version 2.1.3 it's
become close to unusable.

Every couple of minutes it goes into a cycle of storing a folder. Trying to
view an existing message in my Inbox takes 30 seconds++ just to retrieve it
to look at it.

Is this a known problem?
