We had same issue after making changes to our restore area. The key point being ensure GW RestoreArea Folder should be <8 characters. After we reduced from 9 to 8 chars the D107 issues were resolved.

We are getting the same problem too.. Either 820x errors or D107 errors. I have given full rights.
For a work-around I connected the GroupWise Client in client server/direct mode to the restored PO. (I had to use regedit to knock out the IP setting and add the UNC path to the PO.
I then archived off the emails and then opened up the client on the live GroupWise PO. I then un-archived the email. (This was a painful way because I had to do the mail in chunks otherwise it would error again.). This worked for about 90% of the mails. The remaining ones still came up with a D107. For the remaining emails I was at least able to copy important attachments to the local drive.
