Default Help with relay exceptions

I know I've fdone this before. In fact I had this all working up until the
other day when I had to remove GWIA and re-install to fix another problem.
Here's the situation. I have a few copiers that can scan and email. In the
past I've put in an exception to the SMTP Relay to allow relays from these
addresses as follows
From - Konica@travelpdx.com
To - *
For some reason, this will not work anymore unless I allow all relay, which
of course I don't want to do.
To test with, I set up a pop/smtp client to attach to the GWIA. Unless I put
in password for SMTP, I am unable to relay with an exception put in GWIA
for the address that I'm sending from. I didn't have to do this in the past.
This would be fine except that I can't do that with the copiers. They don't
allow for SMTP passwords.....
