As the archive is not one big file, but a collection of smaller ones, you
should be OK. The files to watch for are the user.db and msg.db files in
the root of the archive - they will be the biggest and most important. The
individual messages will be tucked in an offiles directory same as the
main system.
Backups of the archives are obviously going to be important here <g>
Also, archives will take more space overall as each archive will have a
copy of a message rather than just one copy for all accounts if messages
are held in the live system.
I think I'd suggest looking at a proper archiving product really,
something like Nexic Discovery,
www.nexic.com, rather than relying on the
native GW archiving - that should give better space usage and be a
generally more reliable option
Cheers Dave
