From my notes on fonts and printing...
Changing GroupWise Fonts
In most cases, one of the settings mentioned below is set to a very small size and just changing that one setting will fix the problem.
There are three ways to make changes to fonts in the GroupWise client:
1. From Inside the GroupWise Client
For Plain Text Messages
a. Set the GroupWise client View to Plain Text (Tools...Options...Environment...
Views...Default Read View)
b. Select the desired font and size.
For HTML Messages
a. Set the GroupWise client View to HTML (Tools...Options...Environment...
Views...Default Read View)
b. Open a New Mail message. Set the font as desired (right-click a blank
space on the Font tool bar...choose Set Current Font as Default).
NOTE: This will only affect new messages. Old messages will still
display in their original font. And normally HTML is set as the
default display format.
2. From the system font properties
a. Right-click the desktop...Properties...Appearance tab...Advanced button.
Select 'Message Box' in the Item field.
b. Change the font as desired and save your settings.
3. From the text size settings in Internet Explorer
a. In Internet Explorer...View...Text Size...select a larger font if
printouts are small or a smaller one if printouts are large.
When my users receive a plain text email and try to print it, the font is small (maybe 6 or 8 points). Where can we change this? Changing in Tools > Options > Environment > Views changes the view font, but not the print font.
Solution
After testing, here's what I found:
When printing from the Viewer, GroupWise uses the font and size settings from the viewer.
When printing from the message (either by right-clicking and selecting Print, or using Open > Print) it uses the font STYLE that is specified in the viewer, but the font SIZE that is specified for the read view under Tools > Options > Environment.
However, when you're printing a message that you composed and sent to yourself or another user in your GroupWise system, it uses the font style and size from YOUR compose view under Tools, Options, Environment, no matter what the recipient's font settings are. So, apparently, plain text messages somehow have embedded font information as long as they stay within the GroupWise system.

Hi,
When I print of emails sometimes groupwise 7 prints them off with atiny font that makes it impossible to read.
this seems to happen when I have been sent an email that has longparragaphs. that is, I think groupwise doesn't have a set width of pageand so doesn't wrap the text for quite a width (45 words or so).
Am i missing something?-- pbirtles------------------------------------------------------------------------pbirtles's Profile:
