Zombie messages back from the grave?
The weirdest issue I have seen so far.
I had a user clean up his maibox and empty the trash.
the next time he logged in (happened to be from another facility) he had 2239 items in his trash his maibox had 148 messages that were just deleted back. I ran a GWCheck analyze/fix against his cache mailbox and succeeded in bringing more messaged back. His deleted items is now over 3800 dating back over 2 years.
A further disturbing symptom is that messages seemed to have moved from the origonal stored location to other locations. ie. from a cabinet folder to the mailbox, or from one caabinet folder to another.
The info I get from this user is generaly reliable but all users lie, never assume, and never assume a user is not lieing.
I have no idea how an email deleted over 2 years ago can magically reappear. Any insight would be helpful.
