Got a blast from the past here!
Running GW 703 on
OES 2 Linux; basic single domain / PO setup. The server doesn't do anything but GW, but it is running a Gwava Retain worker.
All clients are windows XP, varying service packs, running GW 703 client.
Over the last couple of days, more and more people (20-odd that I know of so far out of about 80) have been getting a popup message titled "Groupwise error [820a]", reading "Unable to open additional files". This seems to appear at random, even when they're away from the PC. If they click OK it all seems to work, but the message comes back again after a while.
The server looks happy from what I can see, no errors in any of the logs, not short of memory and no piles of orphaned processes or anything like that.
Done some searching and everything out there seems to refer to GW 4/5 on Windows 95 or older... the Novell docs for GW7 don't even list this error code!
I'm going to try a server reboot over the weekend to see if it'll magically go away - the server's been up since it was installed, 122 days ago :)
Would rather not reboot it though, it feels wrong - shouldn't need to do that to a Novell server!
Anyone got any thoughts / seen this before?
Cheers
Ed
