Default Routing specific email to an internal server

Hello All,

GroupWise 7.0.3 on SUSE server (Windows Clients)

Here is my dilemma. We have a requirement from our SAP server guys to route all mail addressed to *@sapserver . This server is an internal server attached to our domain. It has some sort of SAP mail server software on it.

So I was given some advise from Caledonia and set up the route.cfg file as follows:

sapserver [192.168.0.1]
sapserver.domain [192.168.0.1]

Restarted GWIA. At first I was getting rejections as it was trying to route via the internet and our filtering services: <admin@sapserver>: Cannot find OUTBOUND MX Records for domain (sapserver)

I changed the route.cfg file by taking out the brackets around the IP (which according to the instructions shouldn't be done) then I stopped getting the rejections. They still do not get the mail. I put the brackets back in and I don't receive any rejections but they are still not getting the mail.

So I'm not sure what I need to do. All I want to do is to have GroupWise route any message addressed to *@sapserver to that server without going out to the internet.

Any advise would be great. Thank you.
