GW7 lnx GUI installer does not launch w SLES 10SP2

I am a sles newibe, and have come across this issue. I have tried using the 6w700lnx.iso within a directory, and also used it on a CD, both mounted,
The server config a SLES 10sp2, using gnome. I have been able to install consoleone, though those were tar.gz files; i do not plan on installing eDir at this time.
When I open nautilus and 'run' the install file, nothing happens, I also tried using the command line using the gnome terminal. there are no errors, when I click on install, just the cursor appears.
I have searched the web without finding a solution.
