User management
Hi,
In our GW System, there are few user, let’s say 5.
We have a whole tree of shared directories/folders among these 5 users – user1 to user5.
1. Whenever I want to have a new employee (the 6th user), I need to “rebuild” the whole tree by editing the sharing properties for each directory from scratch and adding user6 to each directory.
Is there any way to solve this problem other way around? Let’s say – copy the tree from user5 tree?
2. Another problem is when I have to change users data – i.e. name or
mail address.
Let’s say my user5 is George Bush and e-mail address g.b...@domain.com.
Now, I want to fire George Bush, because I want to hire Silvester Stalone, (nice company, heh?).
To do this, I need to create user6 as Silvester Stalone with his name, surname and e-mail address s.stal...@domain.com, then “rebuild” the tree of directories by adding user6 to each folder and deactivate user5 in the end.
But it would be much easier, if I could modify user5 by editing his/her name, surname e-mail address instead of creating new user. That would save me a lot of time.
I tried to do this via C1 by changing the Name, Surname, E-mail, by Overriding the e-mail in Internet Addressing without any success.
Do You have a solution for my problem?
Chris
