No Messages in the Restore Area

I'm trying to restore some messages that were deleted by accident.

I followed TID=10076955 to the letter, but when I go to File > Open Backup ...
there is no messages. Mailbox is empty.
I tried a different maibox with the same results. I know for sure there are deleted messages.
I'm running NW65SP8, and GW 7.0.3 + HP3.
The restore area is in the same volume as the PO (and has less than 8 char.)
I used BackupExec 9.1 for the restore, and I selected the whole PO to be restored in the restore area.

Any ideas?
