E-mail Restore issue
Our Groupwise 7 e-mail was purged by mistake. The oldest e-mail we have is 1/7/09. I did a restore. The restore was to a restore management area. I can access the restore.
My problem is that with my most important users there is a significant time gap in the restore. If the oldest e-mail is 1/7/09 in the current e-mail. The newest e-mail in the restore for my most important user is 4/24/08. While for my intern the newest e-mail in the restore is 1/6/09. How did my user lost over 8 months of e-mails? The save was done with arcserv 11.1. The restore was error free. It seems like the more critical the user is the more e-mail is missing.
I gave no idea what is going on. As far as I can tell there is no independent way to verifiy the restore - short of building a second Novell server. This is way beyond my skill level.
I can find no answer in Google.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
