As Massimo says, if you are worried about someone compromising your
GWIA you are using for IMAP they'll still end up on the same server as
the rest of your GroupWise system. If you want it truelly secure you
build a seperate server and run a secondary domain on it with a GWIA,
otherwise there isn't any point in going through this pain.

It sounds like the install didn't do its job properly. I'd run it again
