Default No Webacc folder in GW directory

I had made a post earlier talking about not being able to access Groupwise
webaccess. I've pretty much come up with the fact that however it was
installed previously wasn't correct. When we go to http://mydomain.com/gw
it redirects us to http://mydomain.com/servlet/webacc . I asked and found
out that a few years back they wanted to shorten the web address to get to
their email so they made a re-direct for /gw to point to /servlet/webacc.

When I try going directly to http://mydomain.com/gw/webacc it says the file
doesn't exist on the server, when navigating to the gw folder on the server
itself internally, it is not showing any webacc folder. My guess is that
somehow it was installed incorrectly due to the previous GW folder they had
made?

Should I just rename the /gw folder then do a Webaccess reinstall? Any
thoughts or opinions appreciated.
