Default Groupwise 8.0.1 client update problem

I have an odd problem and wonder if anyone else has experienced this.

The IT dept has Vista 64 bit machines and all the machines are constantly prompting to update groupwise even after its already been updated. I cannot duplicate this problem on our XP desktops, its only happening on the Vista 64 bit desktops.

Is there some registry key thats checked on startup to see if the client needs to be updated? We've tried installing again by clicking "yes" to the update, weve tried rebooting, the update message keeps coming every time GroupWise is run.
