Wrong email in Dist List

In order to have GroupWise display the correct email address I go into Internet Addressing for that particular user and click on Override for Preferred Address Format and put in the correct email address, which would be jodavis for example. I have to make sure that in the preferred drop down list that first initial last name is not selected or when I click on View Email Addresses it shows the incorrect email address (jdavis) as a valid email for this user. I also have to override Allowed Address Formats to not include first initial last name as an allowed format.

Update: It is getting sent to the correct email address. But when I go into the address book on a client and double click on one of the users in the Distribution list, it is showing the incorrect email address. Just annoying....
