Wrong email in Dist List

When I add a users to the a System Distribution list and click on the details of the user it has the wrong email address. Our naming convention is first initial first name full lastname @domain. When we have duplicate email addresses we use first 2 of first name and full lastname@domain. For some reason the email address that is in the distribution list is the wrong one.

I just upgraded to SP1, and that did not fix it. Unless there is a configuration I need to change.
