Can't login to gw monitor

I had the exact same problem while setting up 8. It seems to be a misconfiguration with the /etc/opt/novell/groupwise/monitor/gwmon.conf file. I never figured out what was wrong with the file, but this worked for me (repeatedly):

1) Stop the agent (rcgrpwise-ma stop) and make backup copies of your /etc/opt/novell/groupwise/monitor/gwmon.conf and /opt/novell/groupwise/agents/share/monitor.xml files.

2) change the name of both files to something else, like *.bak

3) Re-run the install and point to the objects you already have in the tree.

4) You'll have a blank installation, so stop the agent. Rename just your backup copy of /opt/novell/groupwise/agents/share/monitor.bak to monitor.xml.

5) Start the agent up again. It should let you in.
