Dupe calendar events

We're just getting PDA's deployed here in any number. All of out Treo
700w's have been mis configured for timezone and have created dupe
appointments. Most of the users have since synced both sets of items
into their calendars (both devices).

The only fix I see is to manually weed out the bad appointments from
both and re sync.

Is there a better idea?
